Luton Town transfer and rumour tracker: Aston Villa's Zimbabwean headed for Kenilworth Road?
John Percy from the Telegraph has tweeted that Marvelous Nakamba is having a medical at Kenilworth Road ahead of a loan move for the rest of the season.
The 29-year old, who has 26 caps for the Zimbabwean national team, was a big money summer signing from Dean Smith after promotion back in 2019, joining for a rumoured fee of more than £10million from Club Brugge. A club for whom, he played in the Champions League.
His best form came once Steven Gerrard took charge, winning the fans player of the month in November 2021. However, the athletic defensive midfielder then suffered a serious knee injury which ruled him out of joining Admiral Muskwe in the Zimbabwean squad at the World Cup.
Nakamba hasn't featured at all this season, so may not be fully match fit. However, that also means he should be available for the FA Cup, should he complete a move to the Hatters.
