Luton Town transfer rumour tracker part 9: Archer, Tanganga, and Tuanzebe

Luton Town recently welcomed their tenth signing, former Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul. But, that's not all – the craziness of the transfer window is far from over. Let's take a closer look at some potential new arrivals, with centre-backs stealing the spotlight in ex-Manchester United man Tuanzebe, Tottenham's Tanganga, and Villas ace Archer.

Archer move seeming unlikely

According to Football Insider, Aston Villa have set a £20M price tag for the exciting young forward. The hefty price tag alone swiftly eliminates Luton from the running, considering our highest past signing is around £5 million. Although this deal could be a real steal, offering substantial future profit, much like the success stories of Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins, it's hard to picture the Luton board feeling at ease shelling out such a significant sum.

Luton v Inter Milan for Tanganga?

In a slightly bizarre turn of events, Luton Town are battling with Inter Milan (Yes, the Champions League finalists) for the Englishman's signature - albeit on a loan deal. This is according to Senior sports reporter for

the Daily Express Charlie Gordon. Tanganga would be an impressive signing for Town, with him likely starting in the RCB role. But, Luton face competition from Everton for the defender according to Inter Live.

Tuanzebe training with Town

A report from Senior Sports Journalist for The Mirror Football Dan Marsh has stated that Axel Tuanzebe is training with Luton for now after snubbing offers from abroad. You would have to think that given our current woe's at centre-back, this is more of a trial for the ex-Manchester United man. This would represent an impressive capture for Luton with Tuanzebe only a few years ago putting in a flawless performance against PSG in the Champions League.
