Luton Town transfer rumour tracker: Plenty of talk, little action

Just like the transfer window for the wider EFL community, there is plenty of Luton-related transfer gossip surfacing, however, no deals are yet to have been confirmed.

Little action has happened in the Championship thus far, although, the likes of Bristol City and Cardiff City have accelerated ahead of the division when it comes to their incomings.

Heading to Slovenia once again in early July, Nathan Jones will be hoping to complete the majority of his transfer business before that trip comes around.

Here, we take a look at the latest rumours concerning the Hatters...

Potential In: Will Vaulks

As per a report from the Sheffield Star, we are currently interested in a move for soon-to-be-released Cardiff City man Will Vaulks.

The combative midfielder is also being monitored by QPR, Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday ahead of the new campaign.

Wages could prove to be a stumbling block for us though, although it is unknown what his wage demands would actually be.

Potential In: Will Norris

We have also been credited with an interest in Burnley goalkeeper Will Norris, as per a Patreon from journalist Alan Nixon.

Norris has seen a lack of first team football since arriving at Turf Moor in 2020, seeing himself well down the pecking order.

The same report suggests that moves for both Norris and Matt Macey could be made this summer, with James Shea out for the unforeseeable future.

Potential In: Luke Plange

Ourselves and Coventry City are reportedly interested in a loan move for Crystal Palace striker Luke Plange, as per a Tweet from journalist Darren Witcoop.

The 19-year-old, who started the campaign off with Derby County, was bought by the Premier League outfit halfway through the campaign, joining the Rams on loan for the second half of the season on loan.

An exciting talent, it remains to be seen if Jones delves into the loan market this transfer window.

Potential In: Alex Cochrane

We are reportedly battling it out with Coventry and QPR for the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion left-back Alex Cochrane, according to The Sun.

The report also claims that Hearts are after the 22-year-old, following Cochrane's successful loan spell with the Edinburgh club last season.

Also possessing the ability to operate as a central defender, the 22-year-old has shown strong promise in the early stages of his career.

Possessing a year left on his current deal at the Premier League club, it is understood that Brighton could look to sell this summer.

Potential Out: Danny Hylton

A report from Football Insider last week claimed that Charlton Athletic, Ipswich Town and Portsmouth were all interested in a move for Danny Hylton.

The 33-year-old, who netted four goals in just 582 Championship minutes last season, is currently considering fresh terms from us.

However, follow-up reports from Ipswich and Portsmouth related sites have poured cold water on their proposed interest.
