"Our season starts now" - Luton Town vs Burnley: Opposition View

Luton Town welcome last season's Championship winners Burnley to Kenilworth Road tomorrow night as the Hatters look to inflict a further defeat upon Vincent Kompany's men.

The Clarets have endured a rather difficult run of fixtures to start this Premier League campaign, however, they have certainly shown glimpses of real positivity, even if their current points tally does not necessarily reflect that.

Ahead of tomorrow's match-up in Bedfordshire, ORH spoke to Burnley FC fan channel, TurfCast, to gain a better understanding of this fixture from a Clarets perspective...

Q: How would you assess your season so far?

TC: We’ve started slowly and everyone seems to be diving on it as an excuse to criticise us. But we’ve had a tough start to the season with the teams we’ve played and when you look at it from that perspective we’re probably where we would have been. Our season starts now.

Q: Vincent Kompany saw instant success at the helm at Burnley last season - What have you made of his transition to Premier League boss?

TC: It’s difficult to gauge where he’s at as a manager at this level at the because, again, of the start we’ve had. Looking at his tenure at the club as a whole he’s been a great success and I expect it to continue.

Q: Stylistically speaking, what can we expect from Burnley on Tuesday evening?

TC: I would expect us to have a lot of the ball and try and attack you by playing it around you and trying to invite the press. I suspect the game will be similar to last season at your place, a tight game won by one goal or two.

Q: What have you made of Luton Town’s start to the Premier League season?

TC: You obviously got the win last time out which will be great for you and take any pressure off from outside for the time being. You’ve battled away well and I suspect that will be how you approach the entire season. -

Q: Where do you anticipate Burnley will hurt Luton on Tuesday? Where are the threats coming from?

TC: The threats will likely come from the wings, we’ve got some pacey lads in the front 4 that can hurt teams, similar to how we did things last season.

Q: Which Luton players do you anticipate will cause Burnley difficulties?

TC: I know he’s had a slow start to life in the Prem but I like the look of Adebayo. Carlton Morris is a decent player too, drags Luton through games and wins his fair share of battles.

Q: Score prediction?

TC: Our season starts now. We’ve had such a tough start and we’ve hidden behind the fixtures all season. We’ve got to start picking up points now and I think we will start to do that in October and November now and show the Premier League what we can do. I'm going 1-2 to Burnley.
