Luton Town join Premier League clubs in Serie A player pursuit

It is set to be a busy summer for Luton Town manager Rob Edwards this summer, whilst the club's hierarchy and recruitment team also face a hectic summer.

Naturally, promotion to the Premier League opens up more markets to the Hatters, meaning there will be attentive Luton eyes all across Europe.

The latest transfer rumour concerning the Hatters is that there is interest in 'Sampdoria sensation' Samuel Ntanda, as detailed in a report from TEAMtalk.

It is believed that the Hatters are part of a group of Premier League clubs who hold an interest in the 17-year-old, although it is only the Bedfordshire club who have been named at this stage.

Who is Luton Town target Samuel Ntanda?

The teenage sensation netted four goals in 15 appearances in Primavera 1 (Italy's top U19 division) last time out, whilst he also represented Sampdoria at U18 level during the course of the campaign, managing two goals and two assists in that time.

Evidently impressing coaching staff at senior level, Ntanda was called up to feature in the club's senior squad for the final day of the Serie A season.

The 17-year-old was then handed his Italian top-flight debut in the dying minutes, coming on against champions of the division, Napoli.

Ntanda also represents Belgium at U18 level and featured three times for his nation during the course of the 2022/23 campaign.
