Luton Town and Leicester City chase Man United starlet

It has been a summer full of action for Luton Town thus far and you get the feeling that there is plenty more to come as the start of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign edges closer to commencement.


Rob Edwards has welcomed five fresh faces to Kenilworth Road thus far, with Chiedozie Ogbene, Mads Andersen, Tahith Chong, Marvelous Nakamba and Issa Kabore touching down in Bedfordshire.



There are still areas of the pitch that could do with strengthening, but ultimately, the Hatters have positioned themselves strongly with the standard of additions they have secured thus far.


Luton Town and Leicester City add Man United player to transfer wish-list


The latest transfer rumour concerning the Hatters is that the newly-promoted Premier League club hold an interest in Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.


According to home of Tunisian Football, Noussour TN, the Hatters are considering a move for the 20-year-old who spent last season on loan at Birmingham City.



The update on the midfielder's situation suggests that Manchester United are considering a further loan spell for the Tunisia international, although it does not state whether or not Luton are considering a permanent deal.


As detailed in the Twitter update, Leicester City are also considering the midfielder, whilst there is a third unnamed interested party.

It is believed that the 20-year-old wants to find a Premier League club where there is a high chance of featuring regularly.


Impressing in the second tier last time out with the Blues, it remains to be seen what the next step will be for the young midfielder.
