Luton Town defender emerges on the radars of Aston Villa and Crystal Palace

Luton Town may currently occupy a relegation spot, however, they have proved a lot of doubters wrong in how they have fared in the Premier League thus far.

The Hatters sit a point from escaping the relegation drop and currently possess a game in hand on Everton in 17th place.

Rob Edwards' side are putting up an impressive fight to retain their top-flight status for another year, although relegation back to the Championship remains a real possibility.

Subsequently, Premier League clubs will naturally be keeping tabs on Town players, as was the case for Teden Mengi when news emerged last week that Crystal Palace and Fulham were interested parties in the summer signing from Manchester United.

Now, a second Luton defender is being eyed up by two of the club's Premier League counterparts, as transfer correspondent Dean Jones has credited Aston Villa and Crystal Palace as admirers of Gabe Osho in his latest Give Me Sport column.

The 25-year-old was surplus to requirements at Reading in 2020 and the Hatters subsequently managed to pick up a gem for free (not for the first time).

Osho has been an integral member of Luton's starting XI in recent weeks, after spending the first few weeks of the campaign recovering from a knee injury.

A player who has grown in stature and has relished the club's Premier League challenge, it is no surprise that the Reading academy graduate is attracting interest but it does remain to be seen if any of the mentioned chasers would be keen on pursuing a January deal.

Osho penned down a two-year deal , which also consisted of with an option of a third year in the club's favour, which was taken back in June, meaning it is expected that the 25-year-old's deal is set to expire this coming summer.
