Who will start for Luton Town against Brentford?

Date: Saturday 2nd December 2023 Kick-off: 3:00pM (GMT) Venue: GTEC Community Stadium

On this occasion Luton face Brentford. A match that in recent history has not been favourable to the Hatters, losing three and winning once since 2019, with an aggregate score of 12-1 to The Bees. However, coming into this game with a terrific win against fellow London side Crystal Palace, the Town players will be full of confidence. We at Oak Road Hatter have our starting eleven prediction below.

Team News and Oak Road Hatters Predicted XI:

Injury news: Andersen, Berry, Burke, Lokonga, Nakamba.

The recently nominated Premier League player of the month (vote for him here Hatters fans) Thomas Kaminski (GK) starts in goal for the Hatters.

The backline retains its shape barring the one change, Kabore (RWB) coming back in, joining Osho (LCB), Mengi (RCB), Lockyer (CB), and Doughty (LWB). The defensive performance from Town was top-notch. Barring a moment of magic from Olise we may have secured our first clean sheet of the season.

Moving into the midfield we have a dynamic duo of Pelly (CM) and Barkley (CM), both retaining their spots. The latter consistently showed his class against Palace with a few moments of real quality, rightly shown in a video tweet from the club. Pelly, while slightly lacking some quality at parts put in an excellently battling performance against some difficult players. This will be his first game since his 10th anniversary at the club.

Moving onto the forward line, last week we predicted that Chong would be starting at RW, he didn't, but we think he will again this week after another spirited performance from the bench. Upfront Morris (ST) starts. The pressure is mounting on the striker after not scoring since our win at Everton and with Eli chomping at the bit, we're sure it's something on Rob Edwards's mind. Chieo Ogbene (LW) is the first name on the team sheet.

XI: Kaminski, Osho, Mengi, Lockyer, Doughty, Nakamba, Pelly, Barkley, Chong, Morris, Ogbene.
